The EU Regulation No 432/2012 establishing the list of permitted health claims has been published in the Official Journal. Through this Regulation, health claims that are not included in the list will be banned as from 14 December 2012, with the exception of those that are still pending. The assessment of claims that are still on hold, other than botanicals, will be discussed by the end of the year. Claims made on botanicals could be further discussed next year.
